The Business of Digital Security
Newspapers are now accustomed to headline on a regular basis novel cyber-attacks of increasing severity. These attacks target the wealth of data that surrounds our personal and business lives, but also industrial systems (SCADA) and governmental IT infrastructures. Cyber-attacks constitute a national threat when they target sensitive State agencies or vital industrial sectors, and have a great symbolic impact as a soft-weapon. On the one hand, managing cyber-protection has a real cost, in terms of deployment, design and maintenance. On the other hand, cyber-security is a strong lever to develop technological innovation. In this conference, we aim to analyze innovation in the field of cyber-security under the prism of the efficiency per Euro spent :
- How to concretely increase the security level in the cyberspace, through a “security by design” approach ?
- That is, how to involve the computers themselves in the cyber-protection, so that it becomes our ally instead of being the attacker’s weapon ?
- Services or technologies: which innovation strategies ?
Cyber-security experts will debate on these topics during our Security Science Conference. You are kindly invited to attend.

Secure-IC is a spin-off of Institut Mines Télécom / Télécom ParisTech and Télécom Bretagne, one of the most advanced research center in the field of embedded systems cyber-security. Sylvain Guilley, Jean-Luc Danger and Laurent Sauvage are co-affiliated to this institute, and have deposited 50+ patent families. In 2010, they joined force to Hassan Triqui and Philippe Nguyen to create Secure-IC. Today, Secure-IC is renowned as a thought leader in the field of cyber-security. To permanently innovate and offer best of breed protections to its Customers, Secure-IC is tightly connected to the scientific community, in order to analyze threats to come, explore innovative countermeasures to attacks, and actively develop standards. Our Partners benefit from our research activity through tutorials, trainings, and collaborative advanced studies on specific hot topics.
