The RCC challenge, my thesis 3.0: present and defend your thesis in 180 seconds!
The “Réserve Citoyenne de Cyberdéfense” (RCC) organizes a second edition of “RCC challenge: my thesis 3.0”. Supported by the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, the “Pôle d’Excellence Cyber” and Orange Cyberdefense, the competition’s grand final will be held during the European Cyber Week in Rennes on November 29th.
Based on a concept developed by the University of Queensland, the RCC challenge aims to promote the researches working on the security and defense domains. This competition cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. It requires doctoral researchers to compete to deliver the best research presentation in just three minutes (and one slide).
The 2017 Challenge:
Entries are open to 2016-2017 doctoral and 2017-2018 post-doctoral candidates undertaking research in Cyber. Three main categories are identified: Human and social Sciences, Sciences of the data processing and the Cyber rights and Laws. To participate, you have to send a 3 minutes video presenting your project of research (clear, concise and convincing statement), a CV and your thesis presentation (one page).
Nine projects will be selected for the final and will have the opportunity to compete behind an experts committee.
The registrations are opened until October 27th.
