A focus day for stakeholders from the cyber security and healthcare sectors
The healthcare sector is being put through its paces as it addresses the major challenges of our times: an ageing population, the need for homecare, doctor shortages in rural areas, and more prevention through data analysis. In this respect, digital technologies are key to healthcare delivery. However, security issues are often downplayed despite there being a significant threat to digital systems as the recent WannaCry attack reminded us when it hit the UK’s National Health Service. Some of the digital systems at risk include patient records, IT networks, connected medical devices, biomedical equipment, and telemedicine.
To meet these challenges, scientific and industry experts from the healthcare and cyber security sectors will look at today’s major cyber security issues in a lively, concrete and educational format:
- specificities of healthcare IT systems,
- security of connected medical devices and biomedical equipment,
- data anonymisation,
- cloud security,
- personal data protection
Plan your own day from an agenda featuring keynote speeches, business networking, roundtables and demonstrations. It will be your chance to connect and engage with a range of stakeholders from the cyber security and healthcare sectors.
