Europe’s cyber community will once again gather in Rennes for the 2nd edition of the European Cyber Week from 27 November to 1 December.

This cyber week will feature technical presentations, networking sessions, expert panel discussions and a strong emphasis will be placed on recruitment. Aimed at businesses, research labs, government agencies and students, the agenda will cover both military and civilian topics. The event is being organized by the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber and its partners, with from the support of the French Ministry for Armed Forces and Bretagne Regional Council.

The line-up of the week’s events really brings out the strengths and ambitions of the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber that have prevailed since it was set up in February 2014:

  • A solid trio of training, research and industrial development
  • High-level content, a project-oriented culture, networking and collaboration
  • A national and international vocation

Today the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber has around 30 members including a dozen large industrial groups along with the French Ministry for Armed Forces, Bretagne Regional Council, laboratories, universities and engineering schools. They are highly committed to and involved in the cluster, whether they be military or civilian, public or private, industrial or academic actors. Together they are leading some 15 major projects that will be key to growing the cyber defence and cyber security sector.
