Session VP Recherche

PITCH

As cybercrimes increase, they can have far-reaching consequences for individuals, governments or businesses. The invasion of personal privacy has become increasingly widespread in recent years because the targets of this crime can be subject to strong pressure and suffer significant financial losses. Effective strategies must therefore be implemented by the legislator to combat this cybercrime. Some may be technical and others human.

This event aims to present the state of the art of these threats and the diversity of existing countermeasures. Technical countermeasures will be discussed to identify their interests across the entire value chain (from storage to data exploitation), as well as the ability of the legislator to force the stakeholders to integrate them from the design stage. A focus will also be placed on human measures that can be used such as Ethical Hacking. These whistleblowers are often the first to identify vulnerabilities that can jeopardize people's privacy. It will also be discussed whether the legislation is capable of listening to and protecting such individuals.
