The European Commission and ENISA will present the new and upcoming EU priorities on cybersecurity. The NIS2 Directive, the Cyber Resilience Act, the Cyber Solidarity Act, the Cyber Security Act, the European Digital Identity Regulation and other new regulations have already impacted the market of ICT solutions. How can European cybersecurity certification bring consistency in this new legislative package can facilitate compliance and help the market leverage their effort to face ICT risks by differentiating themselves.
Maika Föhrenbach: Maika Föhrenbach is currently Team Lead at the European Commission, working in the unit responsible for cybersecurity within DG CONNECT (Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology). In her role, she focuses on the European cybersecurity certification framework and the implementation of the Cyber Resilience Act. She also manages the international aspects of cybersecurity within her unit. Prior to her current role, Maika worked on cloud policy issues in DG CONNECT. Before joining the European Commission, she gained experience by working in various European trade associations in Brussels, specifically in sectors related to the digital economy. She is a Franco-German and has an academic background in political sciences (College of Europe, Sciences Po Lille).
Philippe Blot: After 18 years at ANSSI, the French National Cybersecurity Authority, developing the cybersecurity qualification of products and services, establishing the conditions for security approvals for products protecting national, European and NATO sensitive and classified information, then leading the security products and services division (integrating industrial, regulatory and certification activities), Philippe Blot joined ENISA to develop new EU certification schemes introduced by the Cybersecurity Act (CSA). He led the realization of the candidate EUCC scheme, called to succeed to the SOG-IS.
